With Airspace World 2025 around the corner, the InterUSS Platform is ready to lead insightful discussions around its open source services and their role in advancing UTM/U-Space interoperability around the world.
The InterUSS Platform will be present at Airspace World 2025 through a number of key activities and contributions, including the organization of a workshop and an Advisory Council meeting and the participation in one of the event’s expert panels.
Workshop | The InterUSS Platform: Enabling Transparent and Collaborative UTM
The InterUSS Platform workshop on “”Enabling Transparent and Collaborative UTM” will take place on Wednesday 14 May from 15:30 – 16:30 in the Sala 4 meeting room.
In the first part of the workshop we will introduce the InterUSS Platform and its governance framework, offering a comprehensive perspective of its core values of transparency and open collaboration and how these reflect on our work.
The second part will explore the InterUSS Platform open source products for Network Remote Identification, such as the InterUSS Discovery Synchronization Service and the Automated Test Suite, which support UTM/U-Space service providers in ensuring they are compliant to standards and regulations.
The workshop will offer UTM/U-Space industry stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore how they can employ open-source solutions to save time and resources, while driving collaboration across the industry. You can register for the workshop at this link. This workshop is in-person only.
Advisory Council Meeting
The workshop will be followed by an InterUSS Advisory Council meeting. Advisory Council meetings are open to all regulatory bodies and agencies that want to contribute to the technical development of InterUSS products. The meeting will take place in a hybrid format, also welcoming participants who are not present at Airspace World 2025. Read more about the Advisory Council here.
If you are a representative of a Civil Aviation Authority you can contact us at outreach@interussplatform.org to notify us about your interest in participating.
Participation in the High-Level Panel “Implementing Shared Airspace: UTM, U-space, and What’s Next for Operational Harmonisation”
InterUSS Technical Steering Committee Member and CEO at Orbitalize Michael Barroco will be speaking at the expert panel “Implementing Shared Airspace: UTM, U-space, and What’s Next for Operational Harmonisation”. The panel will provide an in-depth exploration of how public-private partnerships and open-source solutions are driving operational harmonization across both sides of the Atlantic, addressing automated testing and performance-based metrics as well as governance approaches and interoperability. The panel will take place from 14 May from 14:30 to 14:50 in the Wing Theatre.
We look forward to seeing you at Airspace World 2025!
